Lotus Exige vs Tesla Roadster

The Lotus Exige and the Tesla are odd cars. They are odd because they are very small but they still stand out from the crowd. They stand out from the crowd because there are no other cars like them, so you either get an electric car or a gas powered car. The Exige has a pretty nice top speed of 170 mph which isn't that bad for a car that is so small. But compared to the Tesla it is a super car 'cause the Tesla goes 125 mph. The horsepower on the Exige is 345 hp at 7000 rpm and the Tesla Roadster has 302 hp at 5000-6000 rpm, so still the Lotus is way faster and it has a higher horsepower. But the Tesla is electric, so usually the electric car goes slower. Like the electric Smart Car, the Mini Cooper is kind of like it and the Mini goes way faster than the electric Smart.

Now looks are way different. I think that the Tesla looks way more intense and if you saw it zooming down the highway you would be scared cause of its looks and its speed. But if you saw a Lotus zooming down the highway you would probably only be scared of the speed and not the looks. Not to dis anyone with a Lotus, I still love them. The insides are not that different. They both have bucket seats. If you search on Google you will probably see that most of the pictures for Lotus have the steering wheel on the right side, right? Well that is because Lotus comes from a guy named Colin Chapman and he made Lotus in London. But the interiors are pretty much the same.

There is one thing that is very different about them, that is the price. The Lotus Exige goes for $65,690 while the Tesla goes for $109,000. So, I guess I see where Tesla is coming from with there price. The Tesla is, as far as i know, the only sports car that is electric.

So clearly the Lotus has a way faster top speed and has more horsepower. But i have to say I'd go with the Tesla Roadster because of its cooler looks. Another reason is that it's electric! So I would probably spend the 40,000 extra for a cooler car and skip the gas bills.
